| ABOUT US (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS) |
| Who runs WRJQ? Who is on your staff? Aaron Schuelke is a 27 year old guy from Appleton Wisconsin who owns and operates WRJQ as a "one-man band." Aaron hosts an airshift on WRJQ every morning from 6 'til 9. Where are your studios located? WRJQ's studios are in an unused bedroom, in Aaron's home, on the Northeast side of Appleton, WI. I hear commercials on WRJQ. Why should I donate? To date, WRJQ has not received one penny from sponsors or advertisers. The commercials you hear on WRJQ are mainly "Public Service Announcements," or are aired as "barter" to pay for certain specialty programs on WRJQ such as "Big Band Jump," "The Jerry Schneider Show," "The Uncle Otto Show," as well as USA Radio Network news. You should donate only if you feel that WRJQ is something you'd like to see stick around for awhile. It started as just a hobby to keep Aaron out of trouble in his spare time to ensure that Polka Music gets the fair treatment and honor that Aaron feels it deserves. That hobby got way out of hand, and so did the bills, so Aaron asks for your help in order to offset some of the high costs that are associated with "web streaming" audio on the internet. Why can't I tune into the high-quality stream? The high-quality stream is very popular because it sounds so good. Once in awhile, the stream becomes "full" or "maxed out" with listeners. If that happens, try the "low-quality" stream, and check back on the high-quality stream from time to time, and eventually you'll be able to tune in. If listener donations keep up, we'll be able to purchase more listener "slots" for the high-quality stream. |
